Sanity check: can a woman who is 40 (i.e. me) wear this dress to her 26 year old half-sister's wedding? It fits like a dream, but, 40. [link]
(Note: I would stand up straight while wearing the dress.)
(I asked my other sister, the one you know, what I should do with my hair if I wore the dress, and she was like, "Fauxhawk." I could wear a dogcollar and spiky stilletos, too! Or not, since, Ohio wedding.)
Oh, forgot to tell y'all - I have timesheet available for the rest of the week, and last week's completed timesheet finally got approved, so I feel much better about all that.
Ugh Kat, only read with the redacted posts, but it seems like your student seriously fucked up. Not sure what her plans are for the ceremony, but I hope she keeps her head down and her pie hole shut. And that you can enjoy and celebrate the actual accomplishments of your other students.
flea,
I can't see the dress really well in that pic. It is young looking, but with the right accessories, I can't see what the problem is.
40 is the new 25.
Hell yes, flea. If you feel good in it, why not.
This coming from a 43 year old who wore a dress with swans all over it today
That's cute, flea. The bow wouldn't be my thing, but I don't see why you couldn't wear it, especially to a summer wedding.
That dress doesn't even look young to me, flea. Pretty though. And anything called Striped Jillian Dress seems like a must to wear.

If it fits like a dream, then wear the hell out of it.
Maybe no fauxhawk, though.
It feels very sweet and scrubbed-cheeks and pink~, in a 15 year old sort of way. I would not hesitate at all if it were navy stripes, oddly.
I think that would look very elegantly "summer in the Vineyard" on you, flea. Anything you like that fits like a dream is a good thing.
