I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Good news, msbelle!

Hope the next treatment is timely and effective, ita, and the home and sleeping part go as planned.

I don't even know what to say, Kat. Just reading about your workload makes me tired, much less the truancy bs and general kid stuff.

I am in such a bad mood. I hate my hair, I hate my clothes, making lunch seems impossible so I;m going in early so I can take a long enough lunch break to go buy something. My timesheet for the temp agency runs out today and I don't know what happens tomorrow but I definitely haven't gotten an actual offer of employment yet. And it's my brother's birthday and I don't see how I can call him and have a cheerful conversation. Bleh.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My coworker just asked me why I would come back to the office after this funeral, and... I hadn't even thought to not come back! What a great idea. We'll see.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I'm glad they at least dented the pain, ita. Let me know if you need anything, I'm around today (other than I need to go up to the kids' school in the early afternoon).

And msbelle, yay for mac's progress and a good morning! Sometimes progress is preceded by a bit of backsliding, so maybe that's all it was.

And, while I'm at it, Noah is still not fully day time potty trained. It makes me sad that he always smells like pee. NO matter what we try to do to help him.

That was Franny too, back in kindergarten. I thought she'd never get the hang of it. Turned out it was a combo of not feeling comfortable raising her hand and asking to go to the bathroom and not wiping properly when she did go. And now I need to keep on Isaac about wiping properly. Kids man, they are filthy, unhygienic creatures. Good thing they are cute and lovable SOME of the time.

And Lee, I meant to say, our dog was a runaway and it turned out he had a similar back story to Charlie. It's a hard thing to know, but at least he has you now and he'll get lots of love.

Lee - I will add that Bailey is scared of everything and cowers from me sometimes still and she had no bad history. She was born in the rescue house and doted on.

Our wings are not tired.

Zoe was a rescue, but over the last year the strides she has taken toward feeling safe have been encouraging. Little things like she will totally steal the food from your plate if given the opportunity now, when in the past she wouldn't even take something dropped on the floor. Her bowl only. When we first got her we would have to lift her into the car and now she happily jumps in. Still claustrophobic though, no narrow hallways or small rooms.
