Natter 71: Someone is wrong on the Internet
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
We've gone on vacation to North Florida a couple of times and it's really nice.
My work has brought me into contact with beer geeks from Mississippi and Alabama and I must say, they are a delightful group of folks. If things continue down the path I hope it will, I'll be heading to MS and AL a lot over the next year or so.
I've put a reminder on my calendar to send money tomorrow when I'm on my computer instead of phone. Hopefully that'll work!
Aside from the postcard welcome, it also won me over with abundant and cheap fresh Gulf shellfish in Tallahassee. I blew into a local place 15 minutes before their closing time—forgot about the time zone change—and was paying my check with a bellyful of yummy shrimp and scallops by the time posted on the door. (Turns out all the training at wolfing down my food I've received from lunch-interrupting-coworker comes in handy occasionally!)
I am in need of sleep and food. I've had very little (read: graham crackers and none) over the past few days. Hospital not conducing either right now.
But more interesting convo with Nigerian nurse. Hopefully one more treatment in a couple hours, home, work from home slowly, fini.
I hope this does the trick for the week, ita. I'm glad they're being helpful, though.
Kat, Stephen and my mom get Grace and Noah updates all the time, too. And see pictures! (I hope that doesn't sound creepy.) I know Grace has a rough road in a lot of ways, but she has amazing strength of will, and she's made incredible progress. Fuck truancy court and all the rest of them.
Day by day is probably exactly the right approach, though. In general, really.
mac had a good therapy session last night and went to camp without issue this morning.
All praises to all higher power.
cheap fresh Gulf shellfish
Yessssssssssss.
All praises to all higher power.
Testify!
That is great, msbelle!
Good news, msbelle!
Hope the next treatment is timely and effective, ita, and the home and sleeping part go as planned.
I don't even know what to say, Kat. Just reading about your workload makes me tired, much less the truancy bs and general kid stuff.
I am in such a bad mood. I hate my hair, I hate my clothes, making lunch seems impossible so I;m going in early so I can take a long enough lunch break to go buy something. My timesheet for the temp agency runs out today and I don't know what happens tomorrow but I definitely haven't gotten an actual offer of employment yet. And it's my brother's birthday and I don't see how I can call him and have a cheerful conversation. Bleh.
