I always thought the name Serenity had a vaguely funereal sound to it.

Ugh, 3 hour nap last night meant wide awakeness from midnight to six. Must call Mom to switch dinner menu tonight from meatloaf to braaains.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

My condolences, Consuela, I'm not sure I got that expressed yesterday.

I think I don't care for the avocado in there!

What a surprising result! Good thing you tested. I like the sound of the chipotle lime etc.

I tried making cookies and cream popsicles yesterday, only I didn't have any milk so I used more cream (the name influenced me there, I'm afraid) and that mixture just wouldn't freeze so I had to let the whole thing thaw out to get the failed popsicle out and it's going to take hours to be ready to make more. The point being, I have to drink my coffee out of a mug this morning like any rube off the street. Good thing it isn't terribly hot, yet.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Aw, poor Emmett. I hope rehydration and time take care of this. And not too much time.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Aw, poor Emmett. I hope rehydration and time take care of this. And not too much time.

He's officially transitioned from waking up drunk, to being able to drink water, take ibuprofen and go back to sleep.

So I think we're officially into the hangover portion of the day.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

What a surprising result!

I know, right?

The point being, I have to drink my coffee out of a mug this morning like any rube off the street.

You poor thing.

I'll cope with the challenge somehow.

Now to see if I can hack my way through the blackberry vines enough to get to my orange trees and find out if any of that fruit is ripe. Whee!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I am so sorry, Connie.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I'm sorry, Consuela. My condolences.

Because books.

I'm so sorry, Consuela. And I hate that it was such a difficult road for all of you. Wishing you peace today.
