Can't drink, smoke, diddle my willy. Doesn't leave much to do other than watch you blokes stumble around playing Agatha Christie.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

A recruiter called me on my work line yesterday. That's new! I told her I couldn't be useful to her, but she was all "You're a senior business analyst?" "You report to Keith?" (yes and no, but I know which Keith she means, so this is creepy from a stranger).

She's in the same office complex as I am, and even though I told her I wasn't looking and I don't make hiring decisions, but she still wants to do coffee.

Huh.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh yeah, I guess she called me on my work line, so I guess she thinks it's OK.

I kind of love that USA went straight from an NCIS marathon to "a special presentation" of Milk, introduced by NPH.

I just spent part of the morning watching Neil's Puppet Dreams online.

Also, I was tempted to ask if one of the bartenders serving me at dinner tonight gets a commission from the Devil. She brought the bread I asked them to hold, extra croutons for my low-carb Caesar salad, and a bed of rice pilaf with my entree that wasn't mentioned on the menu.

I'm doing laundry so I can pack my suitcase for my flight to New York tomorrow morning. I got caught in not one but two torrential downpours today, but whatevs, I got in some exercise and went to the bank and picked up some snacks.

My hair hasn't dried since I got back from the pool at 5:30- 3 hours ago. Because I have margarita vacuum&mopped, and even with my house being temperate, I sweated. A lot. I head sweat.

And I forgot to deliver strawberries. Which I can't do until my floor dries between here and the front door.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

BUT in high school, I hope they do Richard III. Then Grace could play him. In fact, I'm going to start teaching her to say, "Now is the summer of our discontent."

I think this would be very cute.

I am sorry, msbelle. What a terrible thing for that family.

It is too hot here. And it's not even summer.

Kat,

I really like your attitude.

I'm beside myself. Fucking hospice appears to have no weekend staff. No answer at the main line or any of the cell numbers I have.
