Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

BUT in high school, I hope they do Richard III. Then Grace could play him. In fact, I'm going to start teaching her to say, "Now is the summer of our discontent."

I think this would be very cute.

I am sorry, msbelle. What a terrible thing for that family.

It is too hot here. And it's not even summer.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Kat,

I really like your attitude.

I'm beside myself. Fucking hospice appears to have no weekend staff. No answer at the main line or any of the cell numbers I have.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Oh no, Consuela.

Oh, Consuela. You don't need anything making this harder.

WTF, Consuela?? That is ridiculous.

I met up with two friends, and got to finally meet their dog (sadly she's six months old and not so much a tiny puppy anymore) and then they came over and met the kittens and we got them to purr! SO CUTE.

Now chilling and deciding what to do with my evening...

Oh, honey.

No, no, no! They don't have a 24-hour line that at least calls you back quickly? If you want to send the name, I can look for one of those. I've never known a hospice not to have a way to contact them pretty quickly. Call backs a lot of times, but you don't feel abandoned.

Nope. The nurse finally showed nearly 3 hours after they were originally called. Which I guess I wouldn't have minded if ANYONE had called us to let us know he was on his way, and given us an estimate.

I never got through on the main line: after being on hold for 10-15 minutes, the line would just disconnect.

Anyway. The reason we were calling is because Mom stopped breathing at around 5 PM.

So. That's, well. Where we are. I did get to make lots of phone calls while I was waiting.
