You've been social four times in one week - that's exercising people skills!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

So now I'm going to spend the weekend pointedly not wondering why my doctor ordered two weeks worth of meds instead of four. Best case scenario he just pissed off my new boss because I'll need to run home Fridays to accept the delivery twice as often. Best case.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

What temp did you/do you use? I did 325 as recipe said, but it also said 12 minutes for two in a single dish.

Much higher! at 425.

Here's the recipe I referenced.

Also, I didn't have cream and used a very rich thick Greek yogurt and it worked fine.

And I used a muffin tin with one egg per cup.

You guys, I'll go back and read, but I watched Taylor graduate tonight in Shriver Hall on JHU campus. And I totally cried. But not when she got her diploma, no. When it was announced that she was receiving a $6K scholarship given to only one student a year at Dunbar. It's the Thelma March Scholarship.

[link]

Thelma March achieved excellence in all that she did: a woman who did not succumb to circumstances but arose to her dreams. Since 1983, the Thelma March Scholarship Foundation has awarded deserving high school students of Paul Laurence Dunbar High School and Frederick Douglass High School with four-year scholarships to the colleges of their choice.

When the March family rep began the reveal, he said "When I met this young woman, I was simply blown away and knew the decision was made. I have not often met a *person* of her calibre, much less in someone so young." And then he started telling about her research in concussion tech and I just gasped. That's MY TAYLOR'S RESEARCH. When they announced her name and had her come up was was all teary and "THAT'S MY GIRL UP THERE!!!" And he told the CEO of Under Armor (who was the commencement speaker) that he absolutely must sit down and talk with her, and he would make that possible.

You guys, this might be the needed extra for her to go to Guilco.

YOU GUYS.

OK, now I'll go catch up.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Sara, that is awesome! That is fantastic news.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That is awesome, Sara.

I WISH I had gone out drinking this week!

And my mother: Recently, I was wearing tights, and she said to me, "I think those tights make your legs look better." Because of course the family story (based in truth) is that I don't have the Good Legs of her and her family, but the Bad Legs of the other side. I was like, "You know, I think my legs ARE better." NB: My legs are fine!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Steph, the other half of my problem is the dreaded smoking, which I do in the house, but with the window open. I want to have a window open half the time anyway, so it doesn't make any sense to cool off the apartment before bedtime.

My bedroom window is open pretty much all winter and most of the summer. And I flip directly from heat to A/C at the drop of a hat (and back, if I get chilly). Advantages of a small apartment in a really old building.
