"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Did you all know Justine Bateman has a tumblr?

She is a college freshman at UCLA and studying computer programming?

Good for her. She sounds like she LIKES it, which is awesome.

I'm meeting Taylor on the JHU campus where I work to pick up my ticket to her HS graduation on Friday. OMG. Really honored I rate one of her few tickets. May convince her to walk back to my office to introduce her to some people...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Justine has won me as a follow for a little based on just this:

FAMILY TIES (the show I acted on at the time)

In that phrase she's made me feel more like her than like most of the tumblr people I follow.

Why is getting older so confusing? Good lord.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I can't say I ever saw myself as a person who would have a chihuahua.

I said the same thing. And look at me now.

Consuela, I am so very sorry. Much peace and strength to you and yours.

Thanks, everyone.

Today was surprisingly better. She was confused but mostly awake all day. The GP refused to confirm or deny the hospice nurse's projection of 3-4 days, but did get her meds straightened out. Between the anti-anxiety meds & painkillers, she seems far less fragile (although just as confused as before).

Anyway, she's stable enough that my sister & I took Dad out for a nice dinner with a good bottle of wine. And I'm trying to decide whether it's too late to reschedule the interview I cancelled for Friday. (And do I look ridiculous for trying to do so...)

Bored? Google Atari Breakout then click images. I just lost 15 minutes. It was like when I downloaded the Ms. Pacman app on my phone.

You're welcome.

not your mom's socks.

ETA: MFNLaw - trigger warning.

I am so flipping proud of DH. Since close to when we moved here, he's worked on the metabolism aspects for two drugs targeting class 4 melanoma. He works on a lot of other drugs too, pulling 12-hour + days, same as much of the team he works with. Weekends too. Both drugs gained FDA approval yesterday. He is pretty pleased. Here's hoping their work will make a big difference.

Our wings are not tired.

That's awesome, Sox. He is one of the good guys! Making a difference. Shiny!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

And I'm trying to decide whether it's too late to reschedule the interview I cancelled for Friday. (And do I look ridiculous for trying to do so...)

Maybe it's better to do it now rather than later? I think it's fair to ask, since the person may not have filled the slot.
