Everybody dies, Tracey. Someone's carrying a bullet for you right now, doesn't even know it. The trick is to die of old age before it finds you.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Damn, people compare and contrast those two verbs a lot talking about Tumblr, don't they? I ask because I used 'em both yesterday.

My manager has just told me if I don't like the new gig, she will insist she needs me back. Which is one of the nicest things anyone here has said to me. My boss wants to talk to me too, before the week is out, and it seems to be because he wants to announce on Tuesday that I don't work for him anymore.

Does anyone consense on what that means? No. My manager says I can keep doing as much of my old job as I want (there are bits I don't want to let go of, and bits I will projectile vomit up). The new guy surely wants me to work 80 hours a week on his plans for world domination (it will settle down eventually), so we'll see what the middle ground is.

Hell, my manager says I don't even have to move where I sit.

I wonder how cranky co-worker will react. He's been weirdly pissy at all the attention New Director pays me (New D came down to talk to my manager, and cranky said "ooh! he didn't stop at your desk!" Uh, we have our second meeting of the day in five minutes?). I'm not sure how to parse him all the time. It will be weirder when we don't report to the same director, no doubt.

I think I'll take an extra jaunt down the stairs.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Step 1A, go to the mechanic, accomplished.

Step 1B, yell at NTB (the place that did the inspection) for trying to pass off FIFTEEN HUNDRED DOLLARS of bullshit repairs on me, none of which the Honda mechanic says I need.

I am so pissed. "Your master cylinder is leaking! Your power steering pump is leaking! You need four new tires!"

Here's one for the Good Stuff. [link]

Don't get me started about how people abuse curate these days.

Miss Kitty just stole a nacho cheese dorito from me. Weird cat.

Karate group class accomplished. My knee still hurts when I land on it...I fell almost 4 months ago, shouldn't it be healed by now? I want to test for my next belt, so I'm kinda scared to ask my doctor about it and have it be a thing. But I'm also nervouse about my knee making it through a 5 hour test which will include take downs.

You can't take my curation away from me.

Suzi--it won't be worth doing if you can't do it well. See the doctor. If it's a thing it will be a thing during your test.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

So this is what happens when I have a night with plans. Mac is with the grandparents, I was going with a friend to baseball, but no, thunderstorms. Possible rain delay, possibly more storms coming.

Good advice ita !.

In class I can modify what I do so I go down on my right knee, but on a test, I won't have that flexibility. I'm just so frustrated. My asthma and anemia are under control. My knee is mostly healed. I'm finally getting back to training the way I had been over 6 months ago...and now that I'm pushing my knee...grrrrr.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Today's huh moment: Some of the paperwork on Charlie said their best guess was that he was a cocker spaniel/Corgi mix, and some of it said he was a cocker spaniel/Dachshund mix, both of which I could see, but I was curious, so I did one of those mail order DNA kit things, which came back today, and neither Corgi or Dachshund made the list. According to them, he is a Chihuahua, Australian Shepard, Cocker spaniel, Pekingese mix, with a heavy emphasis on the chihuahua part.

I can't say I ever saw myself as a person who would have a chihuahua.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Don't have a tumblr. I follow a couple, but in the "go to the URL regularly" way.

Lee, where do you get one of those kits. K-Bug's dog is an odd mix that no one can nail down other than including some Huskey. Is it expensive?

I have a whole pile of don't wanna in front of me. Work I didn't get to, chores that should be done, food to cook, and I'm sure there is more.
