Today's huh moment: Some of the paperwork on Charlie said their best guess was that he was a cocker spaniel/Corgi mix, and some of it said he was a cocker spaniel/Dachshund mix, both of which I could see, but I was curious, so I did one of those mail order DNA kit things, which came back today, and neither Corgi or Dachshund made the list. According to them, he is a Chihuahua, Australian Shepard, Cocker spaniel, Pekingese mix, with a heavy emphasis on the chihuahua part.
I can't say I ever saw myself as a person who would have a chihuahua.
Timelies all!
Don't have a tumblr. I follow a couple, but in the "go to the URL regularly" way.
Lee, where do you get one of those kits. K-Bug's dog is an odd mix that no one can nail down other than including some Huskey. Is it expensive?
I have a whole pile of don't wanna in front of me. Work I didn't get to, chores that should be done, food to cook, and I'm sure there is more.
Consuela, I'm sorry for this turn. I hope the next while is as peaceable as possible.
Lee, hah!
So at least the appraiser can't make it until Monday, after which I will have cleaned? And maybe make it look less like a woman in the throes of paperwork hell lives here? I mean, they don't care about that, but stranger in my house TO JUDGE. Crossing fingers I get a good #.
Oh god, it is a cleaning weekend. And heatwave. I guess I will be putting in the ac units. Because otherwise, there is NO WAY. I will have made it until June, though!
It was like $50 when I did it. Darby came up rottweiler and miniature schnauzer, with some indiscernable extras mixed in. Which actually I can see.
Consuela, much ~ma to you and your family. I'll second what others have said about being sure to take care of yourself as well right now.
Amazon, and about $65. The vet's office told me $200 though, so it seemed like a bargain.
It's amazing to me that they can do that.
I'd be curious to know how accurate those tests are.
Yeah, I'm not convinced this one really was. I'm not going to spend $200 to check though.
