Yeah, I don't really get Tumblr at all. I don't really understand how it's different from just regular blogging. And it takes forever to load on my phone so I rarely check it out. Possibly, I Am Old.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
But wait, Amy, you can just change your URL.
Wait, what? I'm so bad at this some of this stuff.
(I hate having to reblog a post to respond to it in a lot of instances.)
This, very much.
Tumblr is very visual, and often very funny, and very pretty, and sometimes thinky, in shorter bites. As a writer, I probably shouldn't like it, but I love it. It's very relaxing to me to come home and go through my feed.
Yeah, in the settings, you can just pick a new URL.

He'll turn 17 in September (so he'll actually start his senior year of HS as a 16 y.o. Wacky.)
Leif will graduate HS at 16. It's still weird to think that.

It's weird to be that!
But amych went to college at that age.
Is it safe to admit that I totally don't get tumblr even a little? I feel the same abou twitter, except I do get twitter, I just forget to use it.
I've come to like Twitter. Between my blog, twitter, facebook, here, and one more place, I feel like I'm social-media'd out right now.
At this point, Tumblr is probably my favorite of social media sites. (I still love LJ, but hardly anyone is there.)

What Amy said! Plus there's a huge Goth community on Tumblr, which makes me happy. Okay, and a little ::headdesk-y:: sometimes, but mostly happy.
Tumblr is, at its core, a list of pictures. You don't have to understand it beyond being able to say "I like that picture!" "I want that picture on my thingy!" "You have good pictures--I'm going to keep an eye on you, bucko!"
Most of the other stuff it wasn't engineered well for. But that it's pretty good at (I wish it defaulted to higher res, but? Free image hosting. End of whine.).
Huh. It turns out you can overload on cute at Cute Overload. This is the picture that broke Matilda and drove her into a cute-squeeing frenzy.
