And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

It's just he has NO frustration tolerance and he throws tantrums like a toddler.

Oh god, Dylan (almost 6) is like this too. Every now and then I'll come across a Babycenter article that starts out "Luckily, 6 year-olds are past the temper tantrum stage" and I will laugh and laugh and laugh and drink and cry and laugh.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Consuela, I'm so sorry.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

and I will laugh and laugh and laugh and drink and cry and laugh.

Yep.

I can remember throwing temper tantrums myself when I was his age, so I guess I know where he gets it. Anyway, I told him as much, and it threw him out of his rage and into a fit of semi-hysterical giggles.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Hotsy totsy??

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Consuela - the realization of hospice sucks, but the care givers, in my experience, are amazing. My mom, who didn't have any dementia, went from seeing non-existant butterflies to insisting I get her out of there because they were drugging her (duh, that is why SHE asked for hospice). I'm still so grateful to the kind care both she and I received.

CJ's last day of school is tomorrow. And he is 2 months from getting his driver's license. I picture the next 2 months to be very restless.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

My parents have the same good things to say about hospice, with both my grandfather and grandmother.

no, not hotsy totsy, just hotsy. it is some pressure washing company. SUCH A BAD NAME, CHOOSE A BETTER NAME!

We have a mandatory meeting at 3 and there will be food purchased, but I only had a muffin and coffee for breakfast, so I am starving. Do I go buy food?

I do have food at home, I could go there instead. hmmm.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

This made me blink, and then laugh

Glad to do anything remotely amusing. And means I can save the slapstick number for later in the day.

Man, workplace "I told you so" doesn't often taste that good. Because we're all on the hook. I told the developer he'd been sent back to examine the entire approach for the solution, not just add requirements to the presentation (which I ended up redoing anyway), and when he started presenting they asked "Didn't you say all this last week? What about re-examining the whole approach?"

I didn't tell anyone I was on the call. I couldn't be arsed. But I will be prepared when they all "circle back" with me. Just because I think we shouldn't be re-examining the whole approach doesn't mean I don't get that we've been asked to.

Man, I blink, and just...the number of followers on my fanart tumblr more than doubled over the long weekend. Now I feel all...expectationed.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I'm sullen about my coworkers because they cannot be arsed to follow the Flickr tagging system I set up, and I know that when I leave, it will all go to hell. It will be a beautiful thing that I set up that descends into chaos and poor metadata.
