Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I should got through kids' drawers and pull out clothes.

I should do that too so I can take a load to donate.

Cody and Franny are putting up the tent in the front yard so she can pretend it's a treehouse.

information libertarian

So. Tired. I worked yesterday and I worked today and my kids are being annoying jerks.

But at work I did passport applications for a just-married-in-New-York-last-week pair of young women who are planning a nice honeymoon trip and they were so happy and adorable. That was nice. Even if the federal government issuing their passports does not recognize their marriage. Yet.

Old tent in the front yard is an absurdist experiment. No instructions, crazy old skool tent poles, oy! But DH and F are having a grand old time putting it up.

Aw, I remember setting up our tents (I could probably do it in my sleep, we did a lot of camping) in the backyard and having campouts. Sure, I usually migrated back to my own bed, but we'd have half the neighborhood kids over.

One load of laundry drying, one in the wash. Still have another to do (work clothes) but figurede I'd wait until tomorrow and toss today's outfit in as well. Clean sheets for everywhere!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I did more battle with the Back Porch. Discovered a mover's box of record albums (at least 70) which I can't lift.

Note that I moved into this house in 1999. Even though I haven't opened that box since then... I still don't want to get rid of the albums, which I don't have a record player for. SIGH.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

If I do one thing tomorrow, it has to be laundry. It may just be laundry.

Theo, wouldn't they do someone more good who can play them?

Because books.

I was in Target yesterday and they had the Steve Miller Band's Greatest Hits and I think Dark Side of the Moon, on vinyl, for $21.99. And they were selling a cheapo record player right beneath them.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I have started looking for classic gothy albums when I go to thrift stores, and I don't have a record player. I think I just want them for nostalgia/ephemera reasons.

Our wings are not tired

I have somewhere between 300-500 albums still. There are one some nice shelves in my studio. I do actually still have a turntable though. It's actually a nice direct drive one that even has a USB output so that I can use it to digitize things that are out of print when I need to.
