Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Hi Monica! When are you guys departing on your trip?

Well, we're meeting in SF the first week of July. And we're going to Madison on Tuesday.

Also, I somehow have a big hickey on my neck..

Wowsers, I think I just made up my week's sleep dep. Got up at 7, put on inside clothes, made a pot of coffee, admired how nice a day it was going to be, saw Pumpkin cuddling in the blankets, curled up with her and BAM. It's 1:15 and I have no recall of any of the radio programs airing. I was out, not dozing. Feeling very dopey.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I slept until 11:30.

Mac and I both have headaches. I think allergy induces sinus pain. I am over it.

then dog Bailey threw up like everything in her belly - gross.

I would like to do something productive today, but lacking a person here to prompt me, I doubt it will happen. Things I could do:

clean out closet (winter purge as well as purge business suits and dressier things I do not love)
pull weeds (my alone productive relaxer of choice)
clean off dresser and table in bedroom (they are both piled high)
change sheets

Things I need to do regardless of wanting - pet store and grocery store.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

When you need to sleep, you need to sleep. Although that middle of the day grogginess is not my favorite feeling.

Glad the visit is going well, tommyrot!

Mmm, fresh bread, so good. Even with gift-with-purchase smoke. I need to be baking soon, myself, I'm almost out of store-bought and I have a lot of eggs to use up.

I luckily have nothing that needs doing today. Well, a couple loads of laundry, but that can be done tonight and tomorrow.

I'm just sort of amazed how I went from fully awake to completely out. And how sluggish I am right now. Maybe the reheated coffee will help.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Had another . . . incident with Ply. My little bro has renamed her Zomply.

Ion, I have finally figured out how to figure out the nj bus system, and I feel like apron*: google maps, choose the bus icon.

*supposed to be "a moron" but sometimes the autocorrect amuses me

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm rearranging the lvingroom this weekend. There are three small bookcases that are moving to my bedroom and one that's moving to a different wall. Which means all the oops have to come out and I get distracted by the usual "Oh, yeah, I was meaning to read that," half a dozen times, so it's slow going.

I also pulled out the fire pit, as I have a bunch of documents I've been meaning to dispose of safely. And since the fire pit is out, I figured I might as well toss some wood in there and try a recipe a friend recommended. Peel and core a pineapple, and cut the fruit into large chunks. Soak them in rum for a goodly while. Take them out of he rum, roll them in sugar, skewer them on something long and fire-proof, and hold them over a flame. My friend says they catch on fire and the sugar carmalizes. I'm looking forward to seeing if it works.

So, flaming candy, eh?

Established that my current garage from is at least 10" wider than the widest part of my car (side mirrors.) That's something, right?

Pot of coffee, finally consumed. Eating an empanada and drinking some water. Then, pool. Yesterday's swim was epic slow, but it felt good, which is all I can really ask for. My shoulder is bothering me like whoa (think related to Pumpkin chasing-slip-and-catch, plus I probably should go easier on the swim) but it feels better after I swim.

Pumpkin likes chorizo.
