Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I think Matilda just won the cool bf game. Good for her!
Isaiah is ridic.
That Will Smith clip is THA BOMB!
Can someone talk to me about Season 4 Dr. Who - specifically the last of that season. I just watched Journey's End, The Next Doctor, and The Waters of Mars and I have timeline questions.
A friend of mine would kill to work at Pixar. She quit work last month to go to animation school (she did a lot of the animation for public outreach,) and her husband just quit the science software team to join a startup in SF, so they are moving back to CA. Figured they would eventually, it is where their hearts are.
They have their own CA fam and are both extroverts, but I don't know if they have any SF folk/resources. I might be connecting some of y'all.
I'm gonna miss their cats, especially Lola. She filled a Devi-space. And of course I'll miss them!
That's so adorable David.
nevermind on the Dr. Who questions, I had inadvertently skipped a rather key episode, Journey's End.
That gift is one of the best gifts from any person to any person ever. The pointy sticks seal it. If you know someone well enough to know they like pointy sticks, and are ballsy enough to say "fuck your diamonds, she likes STICKS THAT POINT" you are heading in the right direction in life. Hell, even if your parent walked you all the way through that and you accepted the input...most people would not go out on that (NO PUN) limb.
That's just amazing.
After looking at the photos of the gift box, all I can say is, "Can that be any more awesome? No. There is no more awesome that that could be."
I'm a bit in love with Isaiah myself now...in a totally appropriate, I wish that came in my size, sort of way.
What a lovely memory for Matilda.
Sigh.
eta: I'm in total agreement with ita!, too.
In high school, a male friend asked me what I wanted for my birthday. I said, "A magic rock."
He gave me a perfectly turned bit of stone shaped like a triangle. 3 is a magic number.
I have that stone in a place of pride to this day.
