That gift is one of the best gifts from any person to any person ever. The pointy sticks seal it. If you know someone well enough to know they like pointy sticks, and are ballsy enough to say "fuck your diamonds, she likes STICKS THAT POINT" you are heading in the right direction in life. Hell, even if your parent walked you all the way through that and you accepted the input...most people would not go out on that (NO PUN) limb.
That's just amazing.
After looking at the photos of the gift box, all I can say is, "Can that be any more awesome? No. There is no more awesome that that could be."
I'm a bit in love with Isaiah myself now...in a totally appropriate, I wish that came in my size, sort of way.
What a lovely memory for Matilda.
Sigh.
eta: I'm in total agreement with ita!, too.
In high school, a male friend asked me what I wanted for my birthday. I said, "A magic rock."
He gave me a perfectly turned bit of stone shaped like a triangle. 3 is a magic number.
I have that stone in a place of pride to this day.
Where are we talking about Hannibal? I'm slowly catching up, and I LOVE this show. I want to draw lurid red drippy hearts around it.
We just finished the last episode too. I'm pretty sure I need to wallpaper my dining room in black.
Dang, Matilda, she just hooked quite the catch! Isaiah rocks!
So now Matilda is going to see a special preview showing of Monsters University at the Pixar Campus tomorrow.
Bravo, Isaiah! Sure you don't want to swing by and pick me up? (My folks live right around the corner from Pixar.)
ION, I am now unemployed. And kind of exhausted. But one of the advantages of unemployment is midafternoon naps, so I took one today.
I hope this hiatus from working won't be too stressful for you, and you can enjoy the naps and other bonuses.
This week: Wondermark considers Batman. [link]
That Wondermark is great. Bless Alfred.
I'm awake. Unwillingly.
