-t, look at Banana Republic for blazers. I got a pink one there a couple weeks ago, and I'm well pleased by it.
My shirt today is purple plaid with silver highlights, and I don't know if it precisely goes with the purple shoes, but it philosophically does, so that's all that counts.
The news coming out of London is...good lord, people.
I would have no idea what's going on anywhere without you people. Better than Reuters, I swear.
Jesus christ, what is wrong with people.
Here, have some Good Stuff: [link]
No, thank god, that'll be up to our UK team. I'm tragedy-ed out right now.
I'm glad it's not you. And yeah, enough tragedies already, although looks like they are gonna keep on coming.
I think I'm gonna go watch the clip of the woman in Oklahoma finding her dog again.
I got an email this morning from a higher up saying he would miss the XYZ call because he was headed to the west coast for the Shire meeting. He is not noticably short or hairy of foot, but it still made me smile.
Thanks, ita, I will check them out.
Not looking at the news until after work.
ita, I put up that Helen Mirren story over the weekend: [link] (I always wonder if it's worth putting good posts to go up over the weekend. Does anyone see them?)
Today is a good day for the Calming Manatees.
My parents' GP is going to approve my mother for hospice, and we had a hospital bed delivered this morning. According to the GP, Mom's been refusing/spitting out her meds for the last couple of days, and she's going to recommend dialing back ALL her meds, including the anti-anxiety drugs.
When I pointed out that as recently as a month ago, an attempt to do that resulted in hysterics, she said that "She's not the same person now."
And I'm having good-bye drinks this afternoon, and I have a sinking suspicion that hardly anyone will show up.
And I don't have a job.
And people suck.
ION, I'm bummed that I no longer live around the corner from the Museum of the Moving Image: [link]
