Wash: I didn't think you were one for rituals and such. Mal: I'm not, but it'll keep the others busy for a while. No reason to concern them with what's to be done.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Fiona, when the aliens dump you in some backwoods locale, you'll know exactly where you are, and their evil plan will be foiled by your carefully-built knowledge of random places on Earth.

brillig

It's going to be a new version of the "But I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night" ad. A group of people appear in the middle of nowhere, but one person turns slowly in a circle, studying everything. "It looks like Australia. But it could be Southern Africa. I played GeoGuesser last night."

hip deep in pie

Tom and Fiona's scores have made me dissatisfied with measly 20,000 score.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Tom & Fiona's scores have made me dissatisfied with my slow, data-capped cellular internet access.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

We biked to the farmers market today, which was a lovely family outing, but now my thighs hurt and my brain seems to have leaked out my ears. oops.

Does a lack of carbs leave you with brain fog? For the first three days I was fine, but today I just can't wake up.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I have. I chose a Mazda 3, but only because I needed room for our ginormous dogs in the back. Jason speaks very highly of Mazda's engineering and service.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

When my little brother went shoping for a new car, he actually measured the height of his dogs chin when in the sitting postion so Cisco would have maximum comfort resting his head out of the window.

I guess that's slightly less absurd than shopping for apartments with my cats outdoor needs and safety coming first. Oh, the money I'd save if I didn't have cats. People (me) joke about crazy cat ladies, but, if I didn't have my gals, I think I really would be crazy.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

It's not crazy to be a lady who takes care of her cats. It's crazy to try to take care of more cats than you have resources of time, energy and money to care for properly.

Signed,

A cat lady who makes sweaters to keep her part-Siamese warm and slings to carry him around in. (That's not crazy. Paying $90 to a pet supplies website for those things WOULD be. ETA, at least on my budget.)
