There's a french fry place in my nearest mall, and I was prepared to worship at their feet, but they serve stuff in sizes called Jumbo, Mega, and Giga. And the "can I increase your order to a Mega for just a dollar more???" standard sales tack is just irritating. They're not the only place that sells fries in the mall (by a long shot) but they do have the best real estate. I think I will fry elsewhere.
Fast food hard sells? For a dollar? Seriously, no. "Anything else with that?" or "something to drink?" doesn't bother me, but for some reason upsizing does.
Crisis! I was going to get a pedicure today, but the nail tech is sick. And the other place I have a Groupon for is booked solid today. Do I get a full-price pedicure somewhere else? Or just keep wearing the closed-toe shoes until I can get in the original place (Wednesday). It's supposed to be hot tomorrow! (I cannot deal with my own toenails.)
Lee, I think on the 13th we should definitely have time to see people.
I got my current car at carmax. It was pretty hassle free.
I brought in an ad I'd found with a price I was willing to pay and just bought that. They were gentle with the add-on services, and were patient with me juggling payment methods to do the best for my credit history and rewards points.
I just sorted through my fanart to find out how much I could file under
Cuddles + Hugs
and now I have a folder 35 deep with all sorts of huggery.
I wondered if there's a thing I do, a well I keep going back to, and it's clearly people holding people.
Tangentially, one of the best things about fanart is the possibility of feedback from people whose work you adore. When one (or more) says they like my style, I have feels I haven't even processed yet. A year ago, I didn't have a style per se (sorry for keeping asking, Amy...) but now I think I do and it's a much better feeling. And I can tell from the comments too--people compliment not just the picture, but the style of the picture.
So many feels and flails and questions I just cannot process. I wouldn't even know where to start.
So I dealt with it all in a timely and useful manner and napped on the couch with the cats. But the upstairs is clean now.
So we just had Max's confirmation. (Max is my oldest son.) now I'm waiting for my sister's gf to finish cleaning up from the church dinner, while Mason (my youngest son) reads the Doctor Who/Star Trek crossover comic on my iPad. It doesn't seem that long ago when I was here for Max's baptism.
Congrats to Max, tommy.
Tom has won Geoguessr. Can I stop playing now. I suck at it.
I tend to go into car dealerships knowing what I want and ready to buy it. I've had the "invisible girl" feeling before, for sure. I usually find a salesman just to tell him that he lost a sale that day. I went to a dealership in a city 50 miles away to buy my current car, because I wanted THAT car.
Tom has won Geoguessr.
(My best score was five points higher than Tom's. Take that, Scola!)
Fiona has won Geoguessr! Probably. Maybe. Sorry, our previous report was premature; all the results were not in. This reporter now recuses herself from further, um, reporting. Carry on.
