It does to me, but I am cheap. And assuming that is per person, double occupancy?

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Oh good lord - less than a month after the DG got canned for a massive clusterfuck surrounding news reports about pedophiles, now two of our presenters have admitted to having an affair with each other and are banned from appearing onscreen together.
I am working for a goddamn soap opera.
That sounds kind of high to me. Where to?
I am working for a goddamn soap opera.
Yes, yes you are. Watch out for evil twins!
MARS NEEDS BUFFISTAS
Heh.
Oh, and here's a little something I saw on FB today: "Christian group says demon sex makes you gay"Link
I am working for a goddamn soap opera.
Ooh, it's like The Hour but today! Masterpiece Contemporary could air the reality show.
(Note: I haven't actually watched The Hour, just the ads for it)
I would still be fucking screaming after that. and I wouldn't be able to sleep right for MONTHS.
Seriously. I think the poster claiming he'd nearly killed someone in a similar situation was OTT, but shit--are you really confident in everyone's reactions, so much so that there's minimal risk of harm to anyone involved.
But, you know what? That footage can't be displayed without paperwork being signed. So a) we haven't seen the really mad people b) apparently not only was this not dangerous but all those people got over it pretty damned quick when faced with money and/or TV screen time.
Which warrants a big old "Really, humanity? REALLY?"
msbelle, that depends entirely on how long the trip is (to separate airfare from hotel), what the rating of the hotel and the room is, and where the destination is.
I'm thinking most of the 80,000 settlers on Mars would stay there the rest of their lives
Do colonists generally have a temporary posting? I thought it was assumed to be a lifetime commitment.
I think this first week is going to be the hardest
Yes, seriously. There are some one time humps to be navigated here, so check them off as milestones, and focus on a) not being alone for this, familially or medically and b) many of these just need to get done the once.
I thought Antonio's performance was jarring--both in the world of the movie and in the context of all his performances to date. If that was how he was supposed to appear, well, okay--I guess it's the work I don't like, then But between that and the wig, he just didn't work for me.
Randomly, the skin on the back of my hands is so creepy smooth that I can't stop testing it. Which inevitably leads to that thing where you pluck the webbing between thumb and pointer finger to see how "old" your skin is. It's a self-perpetuating cycle.
I just finished compiling two theme weeks at my provocateuse tumblr, women (cheating) and tattoos (suggested), and although I don't think I'm gonna do another one right away, but any ideas of manageable 7 item long lists of promising pretty pictures.
I mean, not to be like "OMG, you really need to calm down!" or anything--more "OMG, you deserve a chance to freakin' relax"
I've had rather more to drink in the last week than usual, and frankly it hasn't really helped. Going for a hilly bike ride on Sunday with my brothers was a better option, frankly.
Thank fuck UPS finally delivered the Clonopin, so I dropped that off this morning. Last night I emptied all the perishables out of the old apartment fridge, and picked up some stuff that had been left behind, including a bottle of whiskey for my dad.
The big push will be getting him to disengage from her when she starts going off. My sister discovered him looking up apartment listings online yesterday! DAD, NO. t facepalm
I think this first week is going to be the hardest
I think, frankly, it's going to be the first couple of months. I am tempted to tell my sister not to have the folks over for dinner for a week or so, in case Mom refuses to leave.

I think that's a good call, really. I heard recently about a nursing home (so a different situation) that doesn't allow visitors for the first week or something, to get the person really settled into the new routine, with no "outs."
