Jesus, Burrell! I read your post about the explosives before I had to run back to work and get a loaner (the disk is now unrecoverable--rescuscitating it long enough to get data off was a miracle), and of course, Overland is a) my route home and b) blocked at that time. Never mind the two accidents on the 405 already. Waste of a day.

Hey--SodaStreamers--do you flavour by the bottle after you've fizzed? Or do you flavour by the glass or a different container? What are you flavouring with? How long is the bottle acceptably fizzy?

I flavor by glass, usually with a smidge of whatever syrup flavor I want (usually rose or violet) and some bitters. Right now my favorite combinations are rose with chocolate bitters, or violet with cardamom bitters.

I flavor by the bottle if I'm using their syrups, and I have the glass bottles, so the fizzy lasts a good long time.

I flavor by the glass if I'm doing something else, and certainly if I'm doing juice or whatever.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I flavor by the glass. I'm never certain how to effectively clean the glass bottles if I flavor in the bottle. Fizz lasts about a week maybe. I usually drink it much, much faster.

After talking with my brother last night, the goal is safety and happiness rather than actual improvements in her health.

I think this is the kindest goal for everyone, including your mother. Keep her as safe as possible and as calm and happy as possible.
