Illyria: We cling to what is gone. Is there anything in this life but grief? Wesley: There's love. There's hope...for some. There's hope that you'll find something worthy...that your life will lead you to some joy...that after everything...you can still be surprised. Illyria: Is that enough? Is that enough to live on?

I love my siblings. After the fun overnight in the ER, my sister called my brothers and told them they had to be nice to me. AND she bought me a box of really killer salted caramels. And then my middle brother called me today and told me to plan to go to Kilimanjaro with him next winter.

Which I admit is really tempting. Kilimanjaro! Just imagine!

I would totally need a diamox prescription, though: 19,000 feet is really fucking high.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Here, natter, I made you a kitten: [link]

Consuela, those are good siblings. Definitely don't need to trade those up. Quality.

Oh, god 7:30 meeting. Why do I remember that now, sitting up, here?

Okay, bye.

Oh, that's just wrong. Off to bed with you!

...and with me. Night, all!

(It was an unproductive day, but I did send out two or three networking-type emails.)

(I shall not panic about being unemployed. I shall not panic about being unemployed...)

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Take some ibuprofen, Matt. I'm glad you're okay.

Not even necessary, actually. The scrapes barely even hurt, so I just Neosporined them to avoid infection or catching halfwit cooties.

You too, ita, you too?

I'm glad you weren't hurt too badly, Matt.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Stupid razzafrazzin' staff meeting. Maybe this time my boss will be able to figure out how to conference us off-site people in on the phone.

Or not. That would actually be okay too.

I'm facilitating (i.e., making sure most people keep their mics muted) a meeting on leadership training. I'm not sure I've ever heard the word "vision" used so much outside of an optician's office before.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Sounds like a perfect opportunity to play Buzzword Bingo, Calli.

I'm taking some much needed time off for the rest of the week. My BFF is coming to stay with me for a few days, which is also very much needed. My poor kitty isn't doing very well. I'm having to syringe-feed him now. Fortunately, he doesn't mind this, and actually perks up when I inform him that it's "vile slurry time!"

I'm sorry your kitty isn't doing well, Anne.
