Timelies all!
Started my new job today. Sounds like they'll keep me busy, which is a good thing.
Also, I have a loaner/rental car.It's a Yaris. Woo hoo.

Yay new job, Sheryl.
ita, thanks--the sudafed seems to have taken a bit of effect. Which I dislike, because that means I'm sick or something, and that I need to go buy more (which is such a process--damn you, meth addicts!).
I have to admit, I laughed my ass off at Pancake!Cat when my roommate tried to take hers outside on the leash. He disliked the harness and hid under her bed for quite a while when it first went on, but luckily he's more a fan of limpness and meowing, rather than fighting.
Thanks for the links, ita ! Did I mention we're over 2800 followers??
Hey, Minnesota passed marriage equality! Yay Minnesota!
I discovered that he can turn to liquid and slip out of a harness faster than I can yell "No!" and grab him.
That was Dread Beastie's trick, too. We've thought about trying to harness-train Vlad and Erzabet, but they're too big and rambunctious. I have a horrifying vision of Vlad really liking Outside and knocking out window screens so he can get Out.
(Seriously, Vlad is HUGE. Just turned two, is bigger than Tzepesh ever was, and is almost the same size Beastie was. We grow giant cats, apparently.)
Leo is not a small cat. He did once shove a screen out of an open window and escape. I didn't know it for hours. He discovered skunk juice on that excursion. Now windows don't stay open more than a cat's head width unless I'm in the room! He hasn't tried that trick again though. Guess the skunk learnt him a lesson.
eta a Lesson, dammit, Samsung keyboard.
congratulations, Sheryl!
So, this happened tonight at dinner: [link] Sprog. We are in so much trouble.
Congrats Sheryl!
Arrrggg. I had a follow-up with the ob/gyn to make sure my Mirena is in the right place. Well, first they had told me I needed a full bladder for the ultrasound. So, I was ready for that. Then they were over 30 minutes late calling me back, only to tell me I didn't need a full bladder. They were very apologetic, but arrrgggg. Then I get Mr. Microphone and she had a difficult time finding it. My uterus is tipped oddly so instead of having the mirena perpendicular to the ultrasound waves, they were bouncing off only the bottom end of it. So, that was a fun experience. Oy. Bottom line is that everything seems fine and I don't have to go back there unless there is a complication.
And now I'm crampy. And grumpy. And want dinner to just appear. At least it was only an 8 hour work day since I had to leave for the appointment that wouldn't end.
Hey, looks like my refi is actually going to close! I had my doubts. And my monthly payment will lower to an amount that I could pay with my current job if I didn't also try to use any of my income to buy food or electricity, etc. Which is better than how things stand at the moment, sadly.
Yay for the new job, Sheryl!
