Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

While looking for an example of a Yiddish accent, I found [link] , and I can't at all explain why it's funny, but I can't stop laughing.

Thrive to spite them

How ever he got cast I think Tom Cruise is all wrong for the part. Or maybe I think he's all wrong becuase no matter what I see him in he just comes off as smarmy.

the Rock would be a good choice.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I would have thought that "sounding Jewish" would mean having a Yiddish accent.

Or a certain NYC accent, if you're talking to people from Elsewhere.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Nora! That is so incredibly fabulous! I am so happy for you and Tom.

I enjoy a great deal the idea of THE GREAT UNBURDONING! That should be our group effort for the month of December.

Discardia!

No opinions on poker or Jack Reacher, though please put me in the "can't stand Tom Cruise" club.

Well, I don't know what's going to happen next. My sister cancelled a meeting and is talking with the house psychologist and my father, and is going to call the psychiatrist since I have had no luck getting through to him.

Man, I feel like I'm all BOB NEEDS CLONOPIN these days. Sorry if I'm kind of one-note, it's boring even to me.

Me, too! I've never read any of these books, but on general principles I dislike Cruise.

Now tagless for your comfort.

How does someone sound Jewish?

Funny and sarcastic? I'm at a loss.

Our wings are not tired.

Jesse, I googled "Tom Cruise miscast" to get the feel of what's out there, and it was one of the first articles that came up. Dwayne might've been great. He definitely fits the physically imposing aspect.

Old enough, a little too pretty, but that's Hollywood.

Consuela, if you can get the doctor on the phone, maybe a little something for yourself??

I'll just say, my support group only meets once a month, and people often have crazy shit that's gone on in between, but I don't think there's been anyone that had a parent move into a facility that wasn't breathing a sigh of relief by a month later.

Consuela, you are in the thick of a whole lot of uhg. No need to apologize for it. Having somewhere, anywhere to say it out loud makes it a little less isolating. Because otherwise you are alone with it and your fellow inmates.

Congrats on the houselessness for those who desired it.

I am so not prepared to put in a full week of work. And I'm struggling to get my lap times back into a reasonable range and not really succeeding. I mean, I know I have to rebuild my conditioning after almost 3 weeks off. I know that because I did get a lot of exercise while away (but different muscles ) that my muscles and shape changed subtly, and I'm going to have to compensate differently (every time I drop weight, my speed goes to shit. Buoyancy, whodathunk?) BUT I HAVE NO PATIENCE.
