Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

YAY AMY!!

Good luck with that, Sheryl...

Someone in my building put notes at all the doors basically saying we should tell the zoning committee that we don't want "another fast food chain" in the neighborhood. The thing that's funny to me? We don't have any of the typical national fast food chains at all here! OK, there's Chipotle. And a ton of burgers and other burritos and stuff, but no McD, BK, Wendy's, KFC, whatever.

Jesse, if you check the Davis Square LJ, there's been new developments, such as a bunch of letters sent out by JonMon telling posters they won't get named in the John Doe section of his lawsuit. I'm... almost... sorry that I'm not included so far, but honestly with the unemployment and consequent financial situation, I don't want to borrow trouble.

It's all so crazy! (Maybe you could get him to name you in the suit and then counter-sue for the big bucks??)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yay, Amy! And Sheryl, I think? It sounds like a good thing, if faster than expected.

Amy, that's awesome! I'm so thrilled for you guys!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

AMY!!!! That's so excellent. What a Wednesday!

So far today I've gotten a rush education in jQuery and JSON and Freemarker templates, grabbed a book on responsive design and one called Mobile First, signed up for a new HTML/CSS online course, requested the keys to our corporate course credentials, and realised I need to learn to use Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.

I think now's as good a time as any to go home and pour that earwax dissolver in and think in pictures instead of commands.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Powerful job~ma to Consuela. And Congrats to Stephen, Sara, other friend, Sheryl, and anyone else who had a great day.

Today was another 11 hour day, but I was better about taking breaks and it was less stress. No punching or kicking today. I might even redo my manicure - it is a mess right now. Or I might go to bed at 8pm.

Because books.

Thanks, everyone! We may also have a lease to sign on Monday -- Stephen looked at it today and it looks good to him, so.

Exciting stuff. For you, too, Sheryl! That's quite the phone call to get.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Congrats Amy and Sheryl.

'Suela, good luck. I hope this is only momentary anxiety and the job is yours.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Thanks, folks. I sent an email back emphasizing that my primary desire was to find a position in a team environment that values good work.

I'm also going to get drinks with another friend next week, maybe she will have some advice.

There's a really interesting job that opened up, but it's in San Jose and it's rather too senior for me. I would consider applying anyway, except that it's one of the applications that requires a bunch of essays. I don't have the energy for that, not for San Jose.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

My saga so far could be epic. I've been typing posts and hitting Read New instead of posting because I just feel like I'm dumping all my shit on you, and there's just a lot of it. My parent's are involved now, so that's a relief of resources and a front for venting. My mum was joking that she'd look after my kitties if I got sent to the slammer. I assume it was an attempt at levity, but at that point, I was all "too soon!" and then that particular hiccup ended up not being a big deal (I was totally hyperventilating when I called her) (and then later I was giving my dad the gallows hug when again it turned out not to be a biggie. But my way of life still hangs in the balance until the 21st, and I want to not get an ulcer over it, but things may not go my way --NJ, you have your priorites fucking WRONG-- and I want to be emotionally prepared for that, too).

Okay, I'll email my attorney tomorrow, since I have recieved emails that make it appear like they have shit together, but they haven't explicitly stated so, and waiting for signed documents in the mail leaves me just a week to scramble together someone else. /tl:dr.
