Angel: You know, I killed my actual dad. It was one of the first things I did when I became a vampire. Wesley: I hardly see how that's the same situation. Angel: Yeah. I didn't really think that one through.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Nilly, I am so very sorry for your loss. Much peace, love, and strength to your family.

Shir, thanks for passing on the news.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

That's pretty awesome.

I'm completely overdressed for the office today, since I have a two-hour interview this afternoon. Overdressed for the weather, as well: I'm in a navy suit. Got my heels in my bag to switch into when I get to the interview.

On Friday I have a lunch meeting with a senior manager at another firm, and I'm not sure what to wear. Not a suit, since it's not a formal interview. I'm thinking a skirt with a bright top and my multi-colored flats. (It's supposed to be really hot the rest of the week, up to 80 in SF.)

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

My mother spoke to the surgeon this morning. They'll do surgery next week, but right now she's more stressed about the MRI she has to have tomorrow. She and I are both insanely claustrophobic, and my last MRI involved two doses of Ativan, going into the tube feet first, and my husband having to stay in the room with me.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Calm~ma for your mom, Dana.

Interview~ma, Consuela. I don't know what to advise for the not-formal interview - you are my business casual guru!

I think I may go buy a suit after work, more so I have one that fits than for my interview tomorrow (I've lost half the weight I intend to lose, and I told myself when I reached that milestone I should buy myself a suit, so there you go).

Today I feel all thematic, although possibly too literal? Butterfly print blouse and "sea green" skirt, both gauzey, and yellow sandals (open-toed shoes at work! I feel so scandalous, but it's totally allowed here)

Art Crawl!!!

Nilly - I'm so sorry for your loss.

I want to see a Muppet caper film with Hitler. (If he's only in profile --- how will we see his shadow???) I think for added confusion they should have RDJ playing Charlie Chaplin too.

Also - Willie Nelson Signature Series Horses - to adopt from Petfinder??? There's a different sort of livestock branding.

brillig

I"m picturing Miss Piggy as Black Widow. Sam the EAgle as Captain America, of course, but I'm not coming up with something for Kermit.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I'm so sorry, Nilly. Peace and strength to you and your family.

Good luck at the interview, Consuela!

Thanks, folks! I'm printing out samples of work product and trying to remember all the work I've done for BLM. (Not much, sadly...)
