Because books.

Stink bugs bite?! Great. Also, ow! Sorry you got bitten, Jen.

Happy birthday, Ryan! Wow, four. Doesn't seem possible.

They bite?

Adding injury to insult.

I needed to google* to be sure I wasn't just making a leap because of the carcas, but there is considerable consensus on the pain level and look of the bitten area. Just... they do not need extra reasons to be a scourge. They're plenty scourgey.

Seems like when they get caught up between skin and clothes or bed, they strike out. Makes sense, but, they can still fuck right off.

*Actually, I had to bing. Google.com keeps pretending it doesn't exist this morning. Weird.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

First dog to be fitted with four prosthetics

Naki'o is a pup that lost all four paws to frostbite when he was little. He was adopted by a veterinarian assistant and as he grew, he began having a harder time supporting his weight. So his owner, Christie Pace, started to explore different options for Naki'o:

...

Pace set up a fundraiser to get hind leg prosthetics for Naki'o through OrthoPets, an animal hospital that provides, "biomechanically correct orthotics and prosthetics for animals." After seeing how well the pup did with the initial fittings, OrthoPets decided to outfit Naki'o with prosthetics for his other legs free of charge. This makes Naki'o the first dog ever to get fitted with custom prosthetics for all four legs.

The doggie seems happy with its prosthetics.

Beautiful pup!

I, too, didn't watch Downton until after Jesse's FB profile pic with Hugh. In my mind, it all takes place before he came to America and met is one, true love.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

So far this morning, Bubba has managed to shut himself in fella's crate .

Also, do people have recs for dog food that isn't Blue? That's what they told me Fella ate, but he has been totally turning his nose up at it.

I know I could Google, but I figure you guys might have an answer already, and I am on vacation.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I like Wellness, because it smells like blueberries, but Walter also seems to like it. He's not fussy, though.

Everybody is loving the canned Alpo he's on right now, though. Of course he loves it, but Wednesday would rather eat his food than canned cat food (she'll walk away from her freshly filled dish because she knows I'm feeding him next), and I just caught Jadzia licking his dish.

Argh, Jen, I hope it stops hurting, at least! I had no idea those were bitey bugs.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I've had very good luck with Fromm's, after going through a number of pricy alternatives that were declined.

They have about a dozen varieties, which is nice because you can change things up when boredom sets in without major digestive impact.

The downside is that some of the varieties (pork and apple, beef frittata) will make you look askance at your own dinner of yogurt and toast.

Trust my rage

Happy Birthday, Ryan, and Welcome, Baby Ford! Hopefully those lungs are clearing out as we speak.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Thanks! I think we shall go to petsmart later and investigate.
