Look, you got a little stabbed the other day. That's bound to make anyone a mite ornery.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

IIRC, guns are two times more likely to be used for suicide than for self-defense/crime, at least as far as what little research has been done has uncovered. It's probably understated what with the "died at home" and other circumlocutions that death notices and families employ in public.

What never gets spoken about in the gun debate that I can see is that guns, the idea of guns, promotes a false sense of safety. (The Texas prosecutor and his wife who were shot by an assailant in their own home had 5 or 6 DOZEN guns at hand, and were well-versed in their use.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think the support Collins is going to receive will outweigh the negative opinions by far.

I don't believe that about fans, but I do think so about the athletes that will speak out. I wouldn't have said so when watching...uh, that show that had this storyline last season t /not spoiling but on pondering it since, I think it behooves the vocal to be supportive, or it behooves the co-workers to be vocal and supportive.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OK, so what should I get at the Vitamin Shoppe to make sure I get a good night's sleep? I have tried valerian and melatonin, to little or no effect. Anything else I can try?

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Jesse, do you take a calcium/magnesium supplement? I take one at bedtime, and it really zonks me out.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Auggghhh! The cat peed on my bed! Damn cat. That's 3 more loads of laundry for my to-do list.

I hate fucking laundry.

I don't, but am willing to try!

Chamomille?

I may have some of that in the house already!

I just really need to sleep well tonight.

Ugh, Burrell! I don't know why my cat who would pee on anything I left on the floor never peed on the bed until he got sick, but I am grateful for that fact! (It's way easier to keep shoes on top of something than to do the fucking laundry.)

Well she was trapped in the room and I didn't know it. DH must have accidentally shut her in there. It's just... I was already looking at 5 loads or more of laundry today.

My mother was surprised to be reminded of this fact, but doing the laundry was my chore starting at about age 10. For what that's worth.
