He doesn't travel well. He's like fine shrimp.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Adorable hanger you got here.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Love the new highlights, Suzi! I want red ones, I think.

So happy for people who are happy with their yards! I am less than happy, but it would require work to be happy.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Come down here and have Mexican food!

I need to come down! Doggie to meet, backyard to enjoy! But not today, I need to get laundry done and buy dog food if nothing else and those require sticking close to home.

Speaking of laundry - I got the basket of clean laundry that has been sitting in my living room all week put away or back into the dryer to maybe get rid of some wrinkles, so that's something.

That plant hanger is great, sara! Yard looks good, too.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Oh, that's lovely, sara!

Anyhow, I got some bad news the other day. My sweet kitty, Jeeves, has been losing weight at a close-to-alarming rate as he's getting into his geriatric years, and the last time I took him into the vet for a weigh-in, the vet found a lump under his chin. It turns out that yes, it is almost definitely* oral squamous-cell cancer. So far, it hasn't really sunk in, but I think it will soon.

I'm electing not to go with chemo or any other aggressive treatment, as anything that can be done will only prolong the inevitable and be massively stressful and traumatic for the little guy. He has no clue what's going on, so the main goal will to be to keep him as happy and comfortable as possible for as long as possible.

* The samples drawn via needle weren't 100% conclusive. We'd have to do a biopsy, but that would involve general anaesthesia, which is too damned risky at his age. It also wouldn't help anything, anyway.

Anne, I'm sorry about Jeeves.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Oh, I am sorry Anne. I made a similar decision with Perkins the cat.

-t, you totally need to come down soon (and bring Walter)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Aw, poor old Jeeves. I'm sorry, Anne.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm sorry, Anne.

I'm sorry, Anne. Been there all too recently, I'm sorry you are too.

I'm sorry, Anne. Good thoughts for Jeeves comfort.
