I wanted to turn over the vegetable garden before the rain, which was predicted for last night but actually showed up about noon today. I did it, but I was literally staggering from weariness, and my knees and back are talking to me today. (Poor literally. It's been so debased that I almost wrote "literally literally staggering.") My gardening stamina is in bad shape.

One of my mom's cats would do that. And then hang there at the top looking around like maybe a trapdoor would open up or something and she could go higher, but that never happened.

I finally got my avocados in some dirt, that's something. It's too hot to work on the front yard, but laundry and dishes are getting done.
