Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Dog whined piteously about being stuck away from me on the other side of the baby gate all frigging night. I roughed it out mostly, but then ended up taking a nap with him in the garage this morning. Very early this morning.

The status is NOT quo.

The Dean called me this morning at 9 to follow up on an Incident at the junior/senior prom last night. I had planned to sleep in until 10. Pout.

Puppy!!!! Lee, have you considered putting a dog bed in your room? We gave up that battle a long time ago.

Lee, have you considered putting a dog bed in your room?

For right now, that's where the cats are, so until they can co-exist peacefully, Fella needs to sleep elsewhere. I'm sure that won't last, but for now, it's necessary.

Awesome!

In other non-dog news, just to prove I am still capable of it, my backyard is a happy happy place for me right now. Both the lime and lemon trees I planted a few weeks ago are still alive, and seem to be growing (though the lime tree is growing out and not up), the nasturtium seeds I planted have sprouted, and birds have discovered my feeder.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Even with the vines, I still have a happy backyard; right now there's a mockingbird giving it everything that he's got. Later, I need to walk to the library, so I've got a lot of afternoon to look forward to, killing vines and getting in the new books....

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yay for happy backyards and highlights!

I have yet to actually do anything today. I mean, I just finished breakfast, I don't know why that process took so long. But now I have shoes on and everything, anything could happen.
