Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Now I'm paranoid I'm hosting some kind of spambot or something. My domain host keeps blocking my home IP address. I have six mail-capable devices connected on this network right now, I think. I don't want to even get started on troubleshooting that.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh god, I just told my mother I would look at some clothes for her tomorrow, and now I feel like I should do yardwork over there.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Heh, the redistribution of landscaping is cracking me up.

I am generally pro-mulch, but I also tend to leave leaves to compost in place whenever I can. If there's a lazy choice, that's what I'll take.

If I can get the front yard whipped into shape tomorrow (totally doable,it really doesn't need much work, just looks scraggly) I can start working on the blackberries that are taking over the back in the evening during the week. I need to clear at least enough so I can get to the possibly ripe oranges.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Doggie [link]

So far, Dog to be named later (bagel doesn't fit, but I think Basel might) made it clear that he was not going to be shut in the garage even part time, and Bubba made it clear that he was not going to be shut in the bedroom, even part time, and there was some hissing and barking, but nothing too horrible.

Even so, first days are exhausting [link]

What a cute pup!

What's Dita's take?

I've found that rarely do the guidelines for intro actually become agreeable to the actual pets. They force it. As long as safety isn't an issue, eh.

He's adorable! Get him used to and happy with brushing, those tailfeathers will require it.

I see Bastien.

Cutiepie doggie! He and Bubba will work something out on their own, probably conspire against you before long.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I just got back from working a wedding reception where all the drunks were getting ready to deck me for informing them that there was absolutely no smoking anywhere on the grounds (so they started smoking in the bathrooms).

I went out to have my own last cigarette on my patio, only to discover I've locked myself out. At least I'd already changed into my jammies. If I'd had to climb in through my dining room window (which is almost five feet off the ground) in my dress slacks, I'd be crying right now.
