I just got back from working a wedding reception where all the drunks were getting ready to deck me for informing them that there was absolutely no smoking anywhere on the grounds (so they started smoking in the bathrooms).
I went out to have my own last cigarette on my patio, only to discover I've locked myself out. At least I'd already changed into my jammies. If I'd had to climb in through my dining room window (which is almost five feet off the ground) in my dress slacks, I'd be crying right now.
Aw, cute doggie. It sounds like he and Bubba will reach an understanding pretty quickly.
Today was a nice busy deal. Fabulous weather. I had breakfast with K-Bug, then we painted a picture of a palm tree, next I returned/exchanged some things at The Container Store before taking my car to the fancy car wash. Then I met up with my friend K and her son. We had lunch and they came with me for my hair cut where we decided to put in BRIGHT purple highlights. While we were at the hair salon, K got a call asking her to babysit tonight. She took off to pick up the kid (2 year old boy) while I hit the grocery store, then we met back at my place for dinner. The kid was great, very chill. He is verbal but doesn't really have words yet. Just -blather, blather, blather-sip. Every babble ended with -sip. It was hilarious.
We are meeting up again tomorrow (without the 2 year old) to get pedicures and go to a bead show. Wheeeee...
Lee, doggie to be named later is adorable. He looks like such a love.
That was fun. No lights on in or out, window is broken so it doesn't stay up on its own, getting my knee caught up in a curtain panel as I try to drag my leg through the window as it crushes me. In absolute darkness! Maybe I will have a glass or two of wine. (Almost locked myself out again when I went to retrieve my laptop, d'oh!).
Suzi, we need pictures of the highlights
What's Dita's take?
So far, she has stayed in the bedroom.
Dog to be named later
Perhaps you should name the dog "Later."
Still can't sleep. Ply brought me a baby bunny. She was so proud, chirping and rubbing her whole body on it. It's now in a plastic bag in the window box until I can deal with it tomorrow in a way that isn't chucking it up the hill into the bushes. It was on my carpet, so thankfully it was a spinal injury (or something else bloodless).
That Ply, she acts all lazy Zen Buddha kitty, and then brings in the largest kills. I wish I could sick her on the groundhogs at work.
I like 'Later'. Murgatroyd is also a good name.
