Yay! Good job making yourself go, and leaving when you were ready to leave. Sounds like a good social thing to have available to you.

I'm glad it went well, Zen.
I'm watching "My Cat From Hell", and this couple has a pair of black kitties called Godzilla and Tokyo, which I think is awesome. The titular cat from hell is named Kali, which seems like you're just asking for it.
Yay Zen! Sounds just right.
Devi. Loki. I'm just saying.
Hey, I remember when you were naming Loki, and I'm pretty sure I voted against it.
It just fit too well then, and now.
So today I:
- went to market. Bought more asparagus and shitakke mushrooms, cause that was nummy. Had that for dinner. Also, empanadas, spinach/mesclun, per usual.
- Got a pedicure.
- target. Forgot things
- Went up to the farm/nursery in Hunt Valley. Bought 3 phlox, lithodora (yeah, I dunno, it is low carpetting with purple flowers and kinda rosemary like,) 2 kinds of alyssum, another dianthus, a mini-petunia like thing in yellow and lantus for the extra pot in back and 8 lbs of stones for $60 total. Oh, and potting soil. Slipped in parking lot, did the splits, acquired no bruises, didn't even hit hard because I fall AWESOMELY and ruined one toe of my new pedicure. Damnit.
- TJs. Forgot stuff.
- Planted the out front plants and put in the stones. Oh, and found a whole passle of other stones buried in the bad dirt. And ripped out the evil mortar eating ivy. Well, a lot of it.
- Swam
- 15 loads of laundry. Ok, 2; regular and washing slipcover now. I think the washing machine coughed up a hairball. Possibly a kitten.
- Planted out back pot with dianthus, petunia-faker and lantus.
- Made dinner, realized I forgot more stuff.
- Ran out and got that stuff.
- Realized I still forgot coffee and stevia. Damnit.
- Fixed shoes with stuff gotten.
- Wrote down a map of all the damned plants I have planted so I have a goddamned clue.
- Fixed pedicure damage.
- Put away first load of laundry.
- Washed all the goddamned dishes.
- Moved the catfood out of the kitchen entirely, freeing up shelf space. Filled shelf space.
- Poured myself a drink and sat down, for possibly the first time since 8 am. OOF. I have probably 30 minutes until the slipcover is done and I have to wrestle that.
And now I have to run up to T& TJs again tomorrow anyway. And more laundry. Possibly more plants. BUT TOMORROW WILL BE MORE LEISURELY DAMNIT.
Wrote down a map of all the damned plants I have planted so I have a clue.
That's so smart. I always say I'm gonna do that, but I hardly ever do and then I spend a lot of time poking at plants trying to figure out if they are something I wanted or a weed - not as easy to distinguish as you might think, even when they are pretty well developed. Then again, sometimes I decide I like the weeds and call them volunteers. My poor neighbors.
I'm starting from scratch here, so I'm trying to do it right.
In not right news, I may go liberate a hosta or two, as well. See, the woman across the street walked away from her house. We've seen the foreclosure notices, she left last summer, being pretty cagey about it. Anyway, she had many very nice hostas. Next door neighbor already took a couple. We figure as long as we leave enough.... Not like the bank is doing shit. Neighbor weeded a bit when she stole hers, figuring community service.
I've got a few. I'm not really sure what they are supposed to do, but they take up space, are hardy and look nice.
Have to decide if I want to put mulch down. Plus side: covers dirt, at least slows slows down weeds and ivy. Minus: is a bitch to deal with when the leaves fall. Plus, I probably need another bag.
OH! And end of May, I'm gonna go get me some bulbs from Sherwood Gardens a few blocks over [link] at their annual bulb dig! I need to look at the map to figure out what to get. I have no idea if $.30 is a steal or not, but fun!
Waahhh, I need to wind down now.
Now I'm paranoid I'm hosting some kind of spambot or something. My domain host keeps blocking my home IP address. I have six mail-capable devices connected on this network right now, I think. I don't want to even get started on troubleshooting that.
Oh god, I just told my mother I would look at some clothes for her tomorrow, and now I feel like I should do yardwork over there.
