Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

HOUR LUNCH???? Who does that?

Actually, resting in my car helped a lot. Still, the mac and cheese I bought for lunch tastes too slick for me to eat most of it, but it will keep in my fridge for a while.

This [link] is a very depressing article about why ad-supported sites have to suck. I installed AdBlock this week for the very first time, so now I may be part of the problem. But I'm still trying to see how it changes my experience, and so far not an entire win.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

We're doing a new website; we've hired a company to do the design and set-up. I had reservations, because they did our current website ... and didn't do a stellar job. For instance, there's a place to do a search ... but it doesn't work. Never had worked. Requests to them to make it work, when the current site was new, were pretty much ignored. The system we're using for updating the web is outdated and deteriorating - things that worked a while ago no longer work and requests for help are met with the response that, essentially, it's old and shit happens.

Now, with the new site, I'd made multiple requests for specs - image sizes, color formulas, etc. ... and they ignored me. They finally came up with some image sizes, although they're going to have more. And they sent over a "template" to use in Photoshop to create images for our front page "carousel". Only I can't use it. I tried to ... and things didn't work. And the fonts they used for text are ones I don't have. It's set up so I can't do batches of these images - I can only do one at a time. We're supposed to start doing some work on learning how to use the new web management system tomorrow and I dread finding out what doesn't work this time around.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I get a half-hour lunch. When I bring lunch, I'm usually done in 15 minutes. (Lunch is usually a sandwich, soda and an apple. Pretty easy to finish it quickly.)

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

From the title I know what it is. What I don't know is why Twitter thinks it's "sensitive content".

My office now blocks all tumblr sites ... even Good Stuff. Which I could use on a day like this.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

As a contractor I was legally required to take lunch. Well, to report lunch--I told them I wasn't taking it, but reporting 8-4 caused them to reject my timesheets.

As a permanent employee sometimes I have to narrow my eyes at them, but the fact is--all the contractors are out for a full hour, and my manager rarely takes lunch (but she does go off campus to buy it, I just realised, and I do that once or twice a month at most), but my nearest FT equivalent grumbles if you try and shift his hour to 12:30-1:30.

Toddson, I'm professionally required to ignore your post, because one of the apps I'm responsible for is WCM. But we do not provide templates--the web team themselves have nightmares with the site designing companies (the team does maintenance, single pages, and front end coding, not full site design), but at least the tool we provide most often works, and gives them a lot of flexibility.
