Well, you'd better not be thinking what I think you're thinking, because my answer is the same as always — no threesomes unless it's boy-boy-girl. Or Charlize Theron.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

New US$100 bill in circulation 10/8 - Boing Boing

The new US$100 bill will go into circulation on October 8, 2013. New security features include a "3-D Security Ribbon" woven into the paper. The image changes from bells to 100s with the viewing angle, and "color-shifting" bell graphic that changes from copper to green, "an effect which makes the bell seem to appear and disappear within the (copper-colored) inkwell."

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Please tell me Batman is on the new $100 bill.

(Seriously, about 2 hours ago at work we were discussing currency, and how you don't have to be a president to be on the bill, thank you B. Franklin. So I said Batman should be on the $20, and Chatty said that would be too confusing, since Jackson is crazier than Batman.)

I would totally be down for a Bruce Wayne: President crossover event.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Yay for the DH's new job, Sparky! A few trips a year to Switzerland sounds like a bonus to me.

ita, what is with your workplace? Why aren't the people above you who MAKE the bad decisions the ones who get reprimanded for them?

I need to buckle down and get to work. This morning was brutal as I had been awake since 2 am and needed a nap before I could get going.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Yay for Sparky's DH!

ita !, I know the PNW is not your climate at all, but I will just mention my company is ALWAYS hiring PMs, and my team has been promised we get our very own PM.

Since she's using it for her blog, she's decided it's tax deductible.

Vampire books are tax deductible in our house. And sometimes fancy clothes for events. I have not yet been able to convince Pete that Fluevogs are part of my presentation, therefore part of my 'brand', and therefore tax-deductible so let me buy new Fluevogs RIGHT NOW.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Why aren't the people above you who MAKE the bad decisions the ones who get reprimanded for them?

I have made the decision that I will not hesitate to assign...responsibility to those who made the call when I'm talking to my boss--let it be their problem to explain that to him, because I won't--I took too much shit here before, and I'm done with that. But when it's the entire change review board, buck stops in my lap.

Man, if I could frame Provocateuse as a proper side business, oh, the things that I might need to acquire, professional-like. It's not like I'm not declaring the income...

Okay fine, be all rational about it and shit. I can be annoyed on your behalf, right?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Even with your explanation, that really doesn't sound right to me, ita.

Good luck, Scrappy!

SO, Walter is at the vets getting his teeth cleaned. When we went in for his checkup the vet looked at his teeth and (a) guessed that he was 6 based on how they looked (he's 10) and (b) said it looked like it had been too long since his last cleaning (he's never had one, I don't think). HIs molars looked pretty bad, so they wanted to put him under general anesthesia, so then they wanted to do a chest x-ray because she heard a heart murmur, which looked normal but now they are sating I should go to a specialist and get him an ultrasound just in case, she's not a specialist she might have missed something, blah blah blah. I guess becoming expensive once he turns 10 is par for the course.

Anyway, a little dog~ma now that they have me stressed about the anesthesia wouldn't hurt.
