Yay for Sparky's DH!
ita !, I know the PNW is not your climate at all, but I will just mention my company is ALWAYS hiring PMs, and my team has been promised we get our very own PM.
Since she's using it for her blog, she's decided it's tax deductible.
Vampire books are tax deductible in our house. And sometimes fancy clothes for events. I have not yet been able to convince Pete that Fluevogs are part of my presentation, therefore part of my 'brand', and therefore tax-deductible so let me buy new Fluevogs RIGHT NOW.
Why aren't the people above you who MAKE the bad decisions the ones who get reprimanded for them?
I have made the decision that I will not hesitate to assign...responsibility to those who made the call when I'm talking to my boss--let it be their problem to explain that to him, because I won't--I took too much shit here before, and I'm done with that. But when it's the entire change review board, buck stops in my lap.
Man, if I could frame Provocateuse as a proper side business, oh, the things that I might need to acquire, professional-like. It's not like I'm not declaring the income...

Okay fine, be all rational about it and shit. I can be annoyed on your behalf, right?
Even with your explanation, that really doesn't sound right to me, ita.
Good luck, Scrappy!
SO, Walter is at the vets getting his teeth cleaned. When we went in for his checkup the vet looked at his teeth and (a) guessed that he was 6 based on how they looked (he's 10) and (b) said it looked like it had been too long since his last cleaning (he's never had one, I don't think). HIs molars looked pretty bad, so they wanted to put him under general anesthesia, so then they wanted to do a chest x-ray because she heard a heart murmur, which looked normal but now they are sating I should go to a specialist and get him an ultrasound just in case, she's not a specialist she might have missed something, blah blah blah. I guess becoming expensive once he turns 10 is par for the course.
Anyway, a little dog~ma now that they have me stressed about the anesthesia wouldn't hurt.
admin lunch was a pretty big disappointment. The food was very blah, no real flavor and the same for the desserts. poop. free though, but blah.
Aw, Walter. It sounds like an abundance of caution on the part of the vet, but I guess that's OK.
msbelle, as long as the free desserts weren't actually poop.
I have too many things to do and don't want to do any of them.
If you're grateful the desserts are poop-free, your standards are too low.
So I wasn't the only one who went there with the poop.
Rock on, my fellow 12-year-olds.
Really, brenda? Myself, I'm working on gratitude.

Our lunch is on Friday--I missed the one last year, but heard it was just subway type sandwiches. If they do that again this year, I am going to totally be rolling my eyes at the tacky, since there was a timekeepers lunch yesterday where the managing partner for the office made a joke about how the Chinese food they were serving was much better than sandwiches, and there are a handful of people who go to both.
