Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

So...sort of like a Chromebook.

And about exactly as useful, I'd imagine. At least for work.

Fuck you, Windows. At least sometimes it crashes in front of my face, so I don't feel like I'm going crazy, all by myself. I'm clearly being driven thus.

Would Matilda like a taxidermied squirrel? I hear the Blogess could help her out.

Geneva sounds awesome!

Speaking of squirrels, the slideshow is hilarious.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

TOLD YOU.

Yesterday I suggested we take certain steps to determine the root cause for a problem, and I got shut down. I asked the incident manager how to deal with the request for the root cause since "we" had decided not to investigate any more, and he told me to not even mention root cause, just talk about our workaround.

Well, I just pulled over the coals on an IT-wide meeting on the root cause, including by my boss, BECAUSE THAT DECISION WAS ILL-CONSIDERED. I don't get to throw my manager under the bus, I just get to look stupid. Thanks, guys! That was in no way entirely predictable. At least the incident manager agrees that's what I said would happen. Doesn't make me feel better about it happening, though.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Ugh, ita.

Yay for Sparky's DH!

I'm hungry, and I don't have nearly as many crackers at work as I thought I did. Boo.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Would Matilda like a taxidermied squirrel? I hear the Blogess could help her out.

Heh - we've got a taxidermied mouse in the house, much like the one on the Bloggess' book cover. It's actually a Hamlet mouse with a little ruff around its neck and holding a little mousey Yorick skull.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

She now has a taxidermied robot mouse.

Since she's using it for her blog, she's decided it's tax deductible.

This is why IRS staff burn out early, isn't it?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I just received an email with the subject line: "insert logo here"

text of the email was an announcement of student awards.

Punishingly Intricate

Woohoo Geneva job!

I totally have the ASMR thing too! Until the TAL piece that I heard a couple of weeks ago I thought everyone had it. I don't get it from all whispering, lip smacking, tongue clicking and some other sounds set my teeth on edge.
