Because books.

Geneva! That's very cool.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Congrats and raclette, Sparky! Glad it's going to be easier than the last job. Eight-week separations with a toddler are brutal.

If we can't have a Buffista Island, maybe we could start with an attractively priced pirate ship?

HELLS YES PLEASE PLEASE?

Also, Hec, I don't think we dare show those pictures to Matilda, who yearns for a pet squirrel. Her heart will break to bits with envy and longing (unless I have already shattered it with my inept hair-fixing technique).

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Yay, Geneva! I am envious of foreign jobs. Which is more than silly, but there you go. Foreign jobs you don't have to move for--even better!

My work laptop is being weird. Starting Windows was taking so long I fired up Task Manager and started Opera, and that's all I have. No task bar, no email, no desktop. Just a brand new Opera session.

I guess it's time for reboot. And not just the random blue screen kind.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

The whispering thing gives me the same feeling as nails on a chalk board, swinging too high on a swing, and pencil wood scraping the paper. Just a weird nauseseated shudder that I can feel in my belly as well.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

No task bar, no email, no desktop. Just a brand new Opera session.

So...sort of like a Chromebook.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

This will be easy compared to the last job, I think. No more 8 week trips!

It sounds like a win all-around then! Fantastic!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Hooray for the job in Geneva! That you don't have to move for!

Aw, baby squirrel got a good home.

And about exactly as useful, I'd imagine. At least for work.

Fuck you, Windows. At least sometimes it crashes in front of my face, so I don't feel like I'm going crazy, all by myself. I'm clearly being driven thus.

Would Matilda like a taxidermied squirrel? I hear the Blogess could help her out.

Geneva sounds awesome!

Speaking of squirrels, the slideshow is hilarious.
