Aw, that's great.
Stupid non-problems: I signed up for a cooking class with my coworker that's tonight, but now I have to go to a work thing after work. But it won't run that late, and the class is until 9, and I did pay $75 non-refundable dollars for it, but now I don't even want to go! Bleh.
We are supposed to get another 4-8 inches of snow tonight. And I just realized CJ doesn't have school tomorrow, regardless of what actually falls. He is going to be so tweaked if the snow levels are snow day worthy without getting an extra day off.
I have been pretty livid. But K totally yelled at the agency. The problem is we can't send her to school without a nurse. While Grace is healthy and stable and the rest, we don't leave her with people who have not been trained because if she has a mucous plug, she could asphyxiate.
Sigh. I'm just too tired to fight and, since I'm not loving the nurse anyway, I do not want to go to bat to keep her. Does she have another job? Yes, I believe so. She also has parents, grandparents and sister in the area (who I would have bummed a ride from by now!)
That is a mess, Kat! I would yell at someone, too.
Don't go to bat, Kat.
People like that never appreciate the bat-going and they figure they have you where they want you, so despite my draft-dodging peace freak ways,I no longer go to bat.
Just on to Ms. Next.
Just on to Ms. Next.
Wise words.
The two year old slept through her whole time here. I totally wanted to poke her and wake her up.
The issue with going on to Ms. Next is that we only have to make it to June and then we were going to let her go because we are going on vacation for most of the month.
That is complicated...I'm just saying, people don't appreciate being taken back like you'd think.
I had Devi put to sleep this afternoon.
Typical stubborn, cantankerous Devi, she managed to bite my finger and make me bleed profusely (freaked the vet out, I was like, oh, this is nothing) as I was signing off on the form and initialing the "hasn't bit anyone in 10 days." And then she would.not.die. and needed a second dose. Which wasn't traumatic like it sounds, she was out, but her body just wouldn't quit. It was just so...Devi. Non-compliant to the end.
Now going to see if I can get it together enough to swim tonight. It'd help, mentally, but I can't swim with my nose this gunked up and stray convulsive sobs.
Oh sara, I saw on FB. I am so very sorry. Devi was a very well loved cat.
