I'm really sorry these guys appear to be Chechen Muslims. Because really what we need are more reasons to encourage the Islamophobic jackasses.
But you know some people are relieved that Islamophobia ain't just racism any more.
A friend of my brother's used to get harrassed on the street in Moscow all the time because he "looked Chechen".
Not making any real point except, people suck. But I also got a sinking feeling in my stomach when I heard who they were. Better a Kliebold/whoever than this.
Also, it's not really a nice sentiment, but I am taking vicious satisfaction in the fact that this kid is living out these hours knowing the older brother he (reportedly) idolized is dead in the street.
If you read my story about my morning - fairly amusing, considering all the other things that are going on - you'll see that I was sad Starbucks doesn't offer Irish coffee.
Obviously, this will be the first franchise on Buffista Island - Boozebucks?
And it wasn't even Onerous Task Day or anything.
I think this has been Onerous Week. Accomplishing any tasks this week should earn a HUGE gold star.
Well, that was exciting. We were evacuated because of a suspicious package, and stood around outside until the police showed up. eta: we're back inside now - it was harmless.
While we were out there, another librarian said that one of her neighbors just donated his house to the local firehouse so they could burn it down for training purposes (he was rebuilding anyway).
The Internet-famous picture of a little girl eerily smiling in front of a burning house? Yeah, that was a practice burn by the local FD.

Link? I don't think I know it.
Swear to dog, Jesse, I just almost posted "is it too early for wine?"
You're two and three hours ahead of me, so I say go for it.
Also, I feel bad for the kid--maybe it's being an oldest but I feel like his brother probably dragged him into it/warped him.
Matt,
Has the situation resolved itself?
