In Boston news, I just started following Eliza Dushku this weekend, and her mom seems to live right in the Watertown area. She seems a little freaked out. I also started following Margaret H. Willison, pop culture happy hours librarian superfan who lives in Boston, and she is very informative.

Withdrawal symptoms generally indicate physical dependence, which is not the same thing as addiction. Pretty much every antidepressant will cause withdrawal symptoms if you stop taking it suddenly. (That can actually be extremely dangerous, which is why it's strongly recommended that people taper off antidepressants rather than stop them suddenly.)

Uh, I'm not trying to lecture; I just don't know if you mean you have an addiction in the sense of a behavioral disorder, or just that the drug has affected your body in such a way that if you don't take it, you have adverse effects.

Same thing happens to me if I forget to pick up my Lexapro refill -- I can miss one day, but I'd better not miss two. Less of a problem if I forget the bupropion, but I once missed it three days in a row -- something I don't want to do again.
