Sophia, a "false flag" is a covert military or paramilitary operation carried out by the government but made to look like some other group/country is behind it. The idea being that the US government orchestrated this attack, pretending to be a terrorist organization of some sort, in order to justify expanded security powers. Speaking of Uncle Wingnuts (who aren't necessarily uncles), one of my Facebook friends was going on about how Cambridge harbors illegal immigrants and what do they expect to happen when they do that. The fact that the brothers aren't illegal (and appear to have been in this country up to ten years?) doesn't seem to have given him much pause.
