I assume not "jury," but rather...Brazil nuts? My dad uses that phrase, too.
Ha, I only wish my dad would say jury-rig rather than the wildly racist alternative.
Oh no, I meant my dad uses the horribly racist version. As well as the horribly racist name for Brazil nuts. (He also refers to women as "females," which drives me 1000% apeshit. Even moreso than when people refer to women 18 years and older as "girls." [Yes, I'm sure I still use "girls" sometimes, but I try to be really mindful of it.])
msbelle, I'm so happy for you!! Congrats.
Also, Sad I missed a VW sighting.
And, yay for Dylan getting into the school of your choice. Now you don't have to nose punch your neighbor.
In other news, my students report they have a twitter hashtag for me. #FearGullo. I'm not sure I how I feel about this.
The teachers I feared, I also admired. I cared about their opinion.
Different from the teachers I hated or didn't respect. Those didn't rank fear, even when they tried to invoke it. And I had ones who tried the latter who I also admired (but did not fear- try to scare me back then apparently means I didn't) and to this day, Mr. Shock tells my mom he still mentions how I walked out of his class, not out of defiance, but because I didn't feel his inaugural class speech (which I'd heard before) didn't apply to me. (It didn't! He invited me to leave! I went!)
YAY msbelle! Congrats!

I think it's fantastic.
Went to a conservatory performance thing that included a dance piece inspired by interviews including my mom (who were projected on screens). The evening was wildly uneven and went too late, but overall good. I still wish we had left at intermission, though! Am old.
That's awesome, Kat! A hashtag of your very own!
I love #FearGullo! Closest I got was "Lady Ms. G" which I liked!
