Though I am a little perturbed--both Columbia MD and Gettysburg are "local" to me. We could have met up for a drink. There are a few local breweries we could have checked out. (Really not perturbed, but I couldn't resist....)
I was on a really tight schedule, especially w/r/t Columbia which was my longest leg of the trip (Salem to MD via New Haven/Garden State Parkway/95), so I basically got to have dinner with my friend and then to bed (he had to work the next day on top of everything).
This is awesome folks. Image in which there is a text discussion of a Swedish swordsman:

Stay safe and dry, Chicagoistas!
In non-end-times news, I just found out Dylan was accepted into the school we applied to for 1st grade! Now we just need for them to expand to a K-8 school as planned so I NEVER EVER HAVE TO DO THIS AGAIN.
High school and college, yeah. But by then he'll be doing some of the work.
(And also Aeryn, but she'll have sibling preference at this school so I'm hoping we can just register her for pre-k and then not worry about it until 9th grade.)
Dudes, there was a vw sighting! Hi vw!
Jessica, great news! (Man, I am not looking forward to having to go through that process in a few years...)
Yikes, the flooding in Chicago is scary.
Also, before he goes to college, can you make sure he understands the difference between an envelope and a folder?
Surgery~ma to you, Strix!
Go Jessica! We will be doing the same next year for a local charter school we hope to get into. Stressful!
