Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

My niece who is at B.U. put this as her FB status last night:

"take my love, take my land, take me where I cannot stand. i don't care, i'm still free. you can't take the sky from me."

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I read that the 2 bombs were made to look like "discarded property." The one in the trashcan near Starbuck's was in a metal pressure cooker.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Jon Hamm on Sesame Street. The end made me laugh - in spite of myself.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

(a) Why is nobody posting today?

(b) Why did my coworkers not tell me about last week's big departing-colleague news???

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

(a) I have work to do! Which is nice, actually. And right now I'm at lunch and forgot to bring reading material, so now would be a good time for people to get chatty.

(b) they thought you already knew?

Thrive to spite them

I haven't done much today. The city is replacing a water main and if they told my landlady in advance she didn't tell me. I woke up after the work started and the water has been off all day.

I was planning to do laundry today but that's not happening.
