Thrive to spite them

Looks like the JFK Library fire was just a fire and not related.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

God. You're so physically hammered immediately after a marathon, and they're donating blood? They are good folks.

Witnesses are also reporting people running toward the blast almost immediately to help the injured.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

You can see it in the video. The sports producer who was taping the finish line has the whole thing on tape. It's a little hard to watch because you can hear people screaming in pain right after.

Boston blood banks are already fully-supplied, and they are apparently asking people to make appointments to donate in a few weeks.

I'll admit I'm not watching the video very closely. I mostly listening to the TV; it's just too much to watch.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I thought the police commissioner confirmed an explosion at the JFK library?

An unrelated fire, they think.

They did, and the local news that I'm watching has not said anything different yet.

Reports are conflicting. I'm going to assume it's a mechanical fire in a closet until really sound evidence otherwise shows up. Frankly, it doesn't make a lot of sense: the JFK library is nice enough, but it's an odd choice for anything connected with the Marathon. The secondary site I would have expected would have been Fenway, not the library in Dorchester.
