Boston blood banks are already fully-supplied, and they are apparently asking people to make appointments to donate in a few weeks.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

You can see it in the video. The sports producer who was taping the finish line has the whole thing on tape. It's a little hard to watch because you can hear people screaming in pain right after.

I'll admit I'm not watching the video very closely. I mostly listening to the TV; it's just too much to watch.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I thought the police commissioner confirmed an explosion at the JFK library?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I thought the police commissioner confirmed an explosion at the JFK library?

An unrelated fire, they think.

They did, and the local news that I'm watching has not said anything different yet.

Reports are conflicting. I'm going to assume it's a mechanical fire in a closet until really sound evidence otherwise shows up. Frankly, it doesn't make a lot of sense: the JFK library is nice enough, but it's an odd choice for anything connected with the Marathon. The secondary site I would have expected would have been Fenway, not the library in Dorchester.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

The police commissioner said he had heard something else besides the electrical fire, didn't confirm they were connected, said they were investigating everything.

But yeah, what Consuela said.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

sj, thanks for updating us on the FAQfamily.

Boston Police Commissioner just tweeted that there is no suspect in custody. And did not add, though I'm sure it was implied, that the NY Post should shut its piehole.

(eta: tommyrot, please don't feel like you're being piled on! It's just that the Post is so scornworthy.)

And he said the JFK library fire appears to be unrelated.
