He is adorable, but he wasn't treated well at his last home, so now he is very shy and skittish, and barely let me pet him, but when I left he tried to follow me.

I have a lot of details to work out, and I am not at all sure how the cats will do, but I feel like he needs me.

Thanks, guys. I'm pretty happy with it. Next round I'll angle the side cut better. And honestly, the part should have been further over, but that train has left the station. If I stick with it long enough, I should be able to grow it out and change that, since my hair grows so fast. But on the whole, loving it.

Aw, Fella is beautiful. When Matilda was looking over my shoulder during your last round of doggy-picture-linking, she was definitely very taken with Fella.

She's in the living room floor now sharing smoothies and popcorn with her friend Norah, for Norah's first playdate over at our place. Norah brought a bag of sticky rubber frogs, Matilda wrote Welcome Nora!! in sidewalk chalk outside, and just now they hopped up to dance around the living room to Chip Skylark singing "My Shiny Teeth And Me."

WE picked up our taxes today, now DH is passed out from allergies . and I am trying to convince one of the cats that he has no interest in gaucomole.

Now I want guacamole. I have none. Score! My freezer contains multitudes, including a small container of guacamole!

I'm trying to, I've decided, not let mine grow in as much. Not only are these barbers less good than the Friday place on Wilshire (so growing in is less graceful--it highlights their short(/long)comings, I just plain like it short short. Although contact with my head is contraindicated during migraines, just running my hands back and forth over the stubble does kind of make it feel better.

It seems the Friday place is not where it used to be now. I don't know if it's closed or moved, but my specific barber there did send me a text about getting a chair elsewhere. It was even further away, so I didn't follow up. It would be nice to have that near me, tho.

I think I need to staple checklists to my brain. I need to keep track of everything better.

My network is acting weird. My cable network won't let me reach my primary domain, but I can get their fine from the VPN my work laptop is connected to over the cable network. The DNS replies for the one domain are different, and I have no idea what routing would even be doing.

Frustrating, but here goes nothing--resetting the cable modem and router.
