Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Liese, that's a sharp cut. I like it!

I'm trying to, I've decided, not let mine grow in as much. Not only are these barbers less good than the Friday place on Wilshire (so growing in is less graceful--it highlights their short(/long)comings, I just plain like it short short. Although contact with my head is contraindicated during migraines, just running my hands back and forth over the stubble does kind of make it feel better.

It seems the Friday place is not where it used to be now. I don't know if it's closed or moved, but my specific barber there did send me a text about getting a chair elsewhere. It was even further away, so I didn't follow up. It would be nice to have that near me, tho.

I think I need to staple checklists to my brain. I need to keep track of everything better.

My network is acting weird. My cable network won't let me reach my primary domain, but I can get their fine from the VPN my work laptop is connected to over the cable network. The DNS replies for the one domain are different, and I have no idea what routing would even be doing.

Frustrating, but here goes nothing--resetting the cable modem and router.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Cass, DO NOT EAT THE GUAC. Have some wine and chocolate instead, kay?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

When Matilda was looking over my shoulder during your last round of doggy-picture-linking, she was definitely very taken with Fella.

If it works out, you will definitely have to come down for a play date, or maybe we can go to the beach or something.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

But it is probably delicious? Though I should go and take some precautionary Benedryl while it thaws.

WIne and chocolate sounds delicious though. Maybe I will have all of the things.

Cute dog, Lee. And good on you for wanting the best for a dog that hasn't always had a good or safe life.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Cute dog, Lee. And good on you for wanting the best for a dog that hasn't always had a good or safe life.

That, definitely. Fella looks like a lovely doggie.

Excellent hair, Liese!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

That sounds like an AWESOME idea. Sweet Fella.

Gorgeous cut, Liese!

The girls are now on Matilda's bed playing with her various critters, cracking each other up and utterly content. Easiest playdate ever.

Fabulous hair, Liese!

Fella is a cutie.

Hey, can I crowdsource some error checking? Can folks here hit my email domain website? And what IP address comes up when you ping it? What about [link] ?

I don't know if I need to call Time Warner or Jaguar PC.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I am... exhausted. We had our spring festival today, complete with archery, a falconer, a mini farmers market, and crafts and planting projects. My feet hurt, I'm sure there's blisters but I'm too tired to look. But the day was gorgeous, and we had over a thousand happy people attend. One of our volunteers was one of those people that you just want to stop everything you're doing and watch them in order to take in how wonderful they are and take notes to try and make a pale imitation of what they do so effortlessly. He was a boy, maybe 16 or 17, and he was absolutely brilliant with children. He also looked a little like James MacAvoy, which didn't help my rapture in watching him.

Got my day off for court by straight up asking if I could take Tuesday off as comp for today. I feel like I've lied enough, and feel shitty about that, and am debating about coming clean to my boss. I confessed to my one coworker (who gave me a ride to the garage to get my car) and my hairdresser, and my shame has been met with "shit happens!". So, tell boss lady that my car got impounded and had to go to court, or just let things be as they are (or, as they say, let things lie)?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My freezer contains multitudes, including a small container of guacamole!

Wait. You can freeze guacamole???

Looking good, Liese!

Cutie Fella. Nice work, Lee.
